Making the most of your budget means doing your best to reduce expenses and increase income. An easy way to earn extra money from home is to do paid surveys online. You won’t get rich doing these (don’t expect to be able to quit your day job), but you can make easy money to help pay for groceries by giving your opinion. You’ll also get to help shape the future of products and companies, test free products, and be entered into sweepstakes for large sums of cash too.
Join these survey sites for free!
Toluna
Each time you qualify for and complete a survey you’ll earn points (worth $1 to $5 per survey). As soon as you register, you’ll be entered into the monthly cash drawing of prizes totaling $4,500!
MyView
When you qualify to take a survey you will be informed of the time it will take to complete and the amount of reward points you will receive. Once the survey is completed the points will be credited to your rewards account and can be exchanged for rewards (including gift cards).
MindField – Top Online Internet Panel
Some MindField surveys have small cash rewards for completion; other surveys provide entries into larger sweepstakes. Either way, the incentives are enticing.
Nielsen Digital Voice Research Panel
Turn your time online into a chance at cash prizes by signing up for Nielsen Digital Voice Research Panel. Over 400 members each month win a cash prize.
As you see, it’s easy to get started and free to join. So why not do surveys online?

April 13th will mark the end of the coupon doubling / tripling program at Kroger stores in the greater Houston, Texas area. The official new coupon policy has yet to be released, but Kroger has announced the change here: http://www.kroger.com/mykroger/034/Pages/houston_announcement.aspx
Among the highlights of the information posted:
- Kroger will no longer double or triple coupons in Houston as of April 13th, 2011.
- Kroger will no longer allow coupon stacking of one electronic coupon and one printer manufacturer coupon per item.
- Coupons will be accepted at face value.
- Kroger does reserve the right to choose to bring back coupon doubling / tripling as a special event, but it will no longer be an everyday policy.
- The Fuel Rewards, Generic Drug Pricing, Senior Discount, and Win Pick 6 money saving programs will continue.
- Loyal Customer Mailings will continue to include coupons.
- A new savings program is in the works.
What will the new savings program be? Kroger has yet to release the details.
As AFC member Esquala wrote quoted the Kroger announcement, “Guess we’ll have to wait and see what this means: ‘We feel it’s an ideal time to test out a new money-saving program.’”
Houston area Kroger shoppers are not happy about this change. As Ubankit wrote, “I think the q shoppers will end up going down the street to Walmart, Food Town, Target, etc., because Kroger will not have nearly as many good deals then.”
Lizajanesteele who does not live in Houston has the same concerns as many, “Oh, I hope it’s not heading up north!”
Not all Kroger stores currently double / triple coupons, but with the majority of the Kroger location doing so coupon shoppers have come to love this grocery store chain. Without the added value to the smaller coupons, will couponers in Houston continue to shop at Kroger? What do you think about this coupon policy announcement?
